JARED LETO has publically apologised toTaylor Swiftafter derogatory comments he made about the singer in a video - which was filmed two months ago but has only just surfaced - went viral.

"Oh, I don't like this at all," the Oscar winner said, referring to Swift's record-breaking album 1989, reportsUS Weekly, before adding, "Fck her.I don't give a fck about her."A negative online backlash toward Leto, however, has resulted in an unequivocal apology via Twitter this week:

It's not the first time that a public figure criticising the star has found themselves on the back foot.Kanye West made amends with the star after widespread criticism of his behaviour at the 2009 VMAs where he stormed the stage as Swift was collecting her award, claiming Beyoncé should have won it instead.

The lesson here?It's not worth starting on Swift.
