Adele's bespoke Chloe Glastonbury look took more than 200 hours to make

"Where can I get Adele"s dress?!" was the resounding question being asked on Twitter as the Tottenham-born starperformed her headline set at Glastonbury festival on Saturday night. For anyone wanting to get their hands on the floor-sweeping, flute-sleeved,70s-inspired black gown it won"t be a simple case of putting in an online order. The dress was a bespoke design by Parisian fashion house Chloe.

With its intricatebutton-embellishedbodice and fluted sleeves, the dressdrew comparisions to the traditionaldress of Albania andIslamic Abayas(a tribute to Ramadan? some asked). But Adele and her stylist,Gaelle Paul, had turned to Clare Waight-Keller- the British creative director of Chloe- to create a unique design inspired festival culture over the years. The atelier has revealed that the dress took more than 200 hours to make, with buttons and shells hand embroidered onto the bodice of the dress.

Their choice makes perfect sense; Waight-Kelleroften draws inspiration from the free-spirited mood of the 60s, 70s and 90s for her collections, showing clothes which evoke retromusic and festival scenes. As a result, Adele"s Glastonbury dress had an authentically vintage look, seeming like it might have come from the wardrobe of Janis Joplin, Joni Mitchell or Stevie Nicks.

In an interview with The Telegraph last year, Waight-Keller explained her seventies fixation;???I grew up in that era,???Waight Keller says, ???and I think it???s something that still has a massive influence in the brand; it has always dipped into that spirit.???It"s a sentiment which blends perfectly with Paul"s styling strategy for the Someone Like You singer."I love the "60s and "70s references, which Adele wears beautifully" she recently told The Hollywood Reporter.

This is not the first time that Adele has worn Chloe. In November 2015, she was pictured in New Yorkembracing Chloe"sluxe-bohemian signature in a lambskin jacket with delicate beadwork, adding a fedora for extra authenticity.

It"s no surprise either that Adele"s Glastonbury look was a bespoke project.Paul and Adele have established a habit of working closely with a design team to achieve what Paul recently called,"one great dress that (goes)the extra mile and that really wow(s)."In other words, they have learnt that spending the time to create something which is perfectly tailored and considered for the occassion willalways pay off.

The "wow"part undoubtedlyworked for Glastonbury. Here"s some more proof of that:

Adele finished her Glastonbury look with a scattering of delicatejewellery which chimed with the ecelectic feel of her dress.A??3,300 "Alhambra" bracelet by Van Cleef and Arpelsenhanced the look"s haute-hippie effect. On her little finger was a gold ring byRuth Tomlinson, a fine jewellerknown for making"ethereal jewellery imbued with an otherworldly sense of a bygone era."
